Together with the PAX Unplugged prerelease of The Fellowship of the Ring: Trick-Taking Game, we are excited to be partnering with friendly local game stores across the US for an exclusive prerelease experience starting December 7, 2024. With the game officially arriving in stores on January 17, 2025, this will not only be the first opportunity for players to get their hands on the highly anticipated game but will also provide an excellent holiday gift opportunity.
About the Game
Following the first novel of The Lord of the Rings trilogy, The Fellowship of the Ring: Trick-Taking Game includes 18 chronological chapters. Players assume the roles of beloved literary characters with unique abilities and work together to complete each character’s objectives for each adventure. With player modes for 1-4 players and continuous play, games are fast-paced and deeply replayable.
PAX Unplugged
Demo. Play. Buy! The Fellowship of the Ring: Trick-Taking Game will be available at PAX Unplugged before anywhere else, with daily allocations starting on Friday, December 6th. Attendees will receive the same Hobby Next promo that is available through their LGS as well as an opportunity to earn an exclusive PAX Unplugged The One Ring Pinny Arcade pin. Meet the designer, get your copy signed, and play the game with your favorite content creators. You won’t want to miss this event, but if you do… there might be a local retailer near you running a super cool prerelease of their own!
In-Store Experience
Each store will receive a limited number of advance copies of The Fellowship of the Ring: Trick-Taking Game. Stores may run demos and learn to play experiences in addition to selling the game in-store only. Customers will also receive the Hobby Next exclusive chapter: The Gifts of Galadriel. And, where possible, Office Dog staff may attend and join in on the fun!
